Bosnia Herzegovina's Demography is changing drastically. The article shows that the population is decreasing and the balance of people is becoming unbalanced. The Serbs have a total population of 1,228,423 and the District of Brcko has a population of 83,516. As you can see that is not a balanced number and people are worried about the uneven population. "The results are extremely sensitive in a country whose institutional framework, as a result of the 1995 Dayton Peace Agreement, rests on the principle of the balance and equality of the three 'constitutive peoples' - Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats." This quote tells you why it is unbalanced and why people are worrying over it. "Other statistics disclosed on Thursday showed that the Bosnian population has a median age of 39.5 years, which is less than the EU average of 42.2 years, and less than other countries in the region like Serbia [42.2 years] and Croatia [41.7]. However, the illiteracy rate of 2.82 per cent is higher than in neighbouring countries." Bosnia Herzegovina is still developing and they are not a poor country but they are not a wealthy country.
